Terms & Conditions for Our Sandhurst Roofing Work
The basis on which we quote for, carry out and guarantee roofing work.
1. About us
These terms apply to work carried out by H Lee & Son Roofing Services Limited, 12 Yeovil Road, Sandhurst, GU47 0TE. Contact: 07946 209052 / hlee-sonroofing@outlook.com.
2. Quotations
Site visits and quotations are free and carry no obligation. A quotation sets out the work we propose and the price for that work. Where hidden defects are only found once a roof is opened up, for example rotten timber below the covering, we will stop, explain the position and agree any additional work and cost with you before continuing.
3. Acceptance and scheduling
A contract is formed when you accept the quotation. Start dates are agreed in advance and are subject to weather and safe working conditions; roofing work cannot safely be carried out in high winds or during heavy rain, and we will re-arrange where necessary.
4. Access and site conditions
You agree to provide reasonable access to the property, including for scaffolding or other access equipment where required, and to tell us about anything that affects safe working such as fragile structures, overhead cables or restricted parking. We leave sites clean and tidy on completion.
5. Emergency work
We answer emergency calls open 24 hours, 7 days a week. In an emergency our first step is to make the property safe and limit further damage. Permanent repairs are then quoted and agreed in the normal way.
6. Payment
Payment terms, including any staged payments for larger works and payment for materials ordered specifically for your job, are set out in your quotation. Invoices are payable on the terms stated on the invoice.
7. Guarantees
Our work is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee, and new roofs are fully guaranteed. Specific written guarantee details are confirmed with your quotation. Guarantees cover our workmanship and the materials we supply; they do not cover damage caused by storms, accidents, third-party work, structural movement, or failure to maintain the roof, gutters and roofline reasonably.
8. Photographs and records
We photograph work before, during and after completion as a record for you and for us. We may use anonymised photographs of completed work as examples of our workmanship; tell us if you would prefer we did not, and we will not.
9. Cancellation
Where you are a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our premises, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to start work within that period, you may be asked to pay for the work carried out up to the point of cancellation.
10. Liability
We are fully insured and carry out our work with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
11. Complaints and governing law
If anything is not right, contact us on 07946 209052 and we will come back and put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
